Get Inspired, Stay Inspired

Let’s get INSPIRED!

Self-motivation is the fuel that drives personal growth, achievement, and resilience. It’s what keeps us moving toward our goals, even when challenges arise or the initial excitement fades. But if we’re being honest … it doesn’t always come easy. In fact, inspiring yourself to keep going (especially when you realllllly don’t want to complete a task) often feels like the toughest thing in the world. That’s why we’re here to help!

It’s time to turn your big goals for 2025 into actionable plans by getting and staying inspired. Follow these tips to unlock and sustain your self-motivation all year long!

Get clear on your goals.

A clear vision provides direction and purpose. Without it, staying motivated often feels like driving without a destination. Break your big goals into smaller, actionable steps. Rather than just saying, “I will get more sleep at night”, figure out what you’ll actually do to achieve greater sleep:

  • Put my phone away an hour before bed.
  • Brain dump all of my thoughts into a journal, and create my to-do list for tomorrow.
  • Do a nighttime meditation (great option for this, here!).
  • Stick to my bedtime routine.

Create a positive environment.

It’s hard to stay inspired when you’re living in negativity. Surround yourself with visual reminders of why your goals matter to you, quotes that inspire you to keep going, or photos that symbolize your goals. Additionally, it helps to declutter your physical space to clear out mental clutter and make room for inspiration!

Though you’re on a journey of learning to inspire yourself, it’s always good to have others around you who help you stay motivated. Share your goals with positive friends who uplift you and remind you of your purpose when you forget.

Get into a routine.

Motivation often wanes when we rely solely on inspiration. Instead, create habits that keep you moving forward even on tough days. Read our post for ideas on how to create a routine that works for you, to crush procrastination.

Stay resilient.

Failures and obstacles are inevitable. What matters the most is how you respond:

  • Reframe Challenges: View setbacks as learning opportunities rather than roadblocks.
  • Practice Self-Compassion: Avoid harsh self-criticism, and remind yourself that progress isn’t always linear.
  • Fuel Your Inspiration: Find books, audios, or videos that resonate with your goals. Connecting with stories of others who’ve accomplished great things ignites your own determination.

Adjust!

Life is dynamic, and so are goals. Take the time to periodically evaluate your progress. Are your current actions aligned with your ultimate vision? Is it time to refine your goals or shift priorities? Keep adjusting until your goals feel right for you! Remember, change is hard, but necessary, to getting you to where you want to be!

The ability to inspire yourself is a skill that improves with practice. By setting clear goals and creating the right environment, you’ll build the resilience to stay on track even when challenges arise. Remember, the key to lasting inspiration lies in progress, not perfection. Take that first step today, your future self will thank you!

Make it your goal to inspire those around you by showing kindness to everyone you meet.
